stabbing

i started my powell trip off with the farr family with a bang! the first day i was cutting a avocado and missed and stabbed my hand with the knife. after much pain, a lot of blood loss and losing feeling in my fingers we went to the er in page! after three shots... holy pain..the doctor put a drain in my hand because the back of my hand was filling up with blood and he did not want to block it in. he said i nicked the back side and almost went all the way threw! i have never felt so much pain and my hand freaking hurt! after two days we went back the removed the drain and three doctors checked me out and could not believe that the feeling in my hands was coming back and i could move them! they said i was so lucky not to hit any nerves! the worse part was i could not get in the gross lake powell water, but the good news is i caught up on my sleep! i am so blessed that my hand is somewhat working and that i have awesome family that helped out! my trip was not ruined just different!
